Steelers Reveal OTAs, Minicamp Schedule
Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers have set their dates for their offseason conditioning program for OTAs and minicamp, the NFL announced on Friday.

The Steelers will start their off-field offseason conditioning for returning players on April 15. The first phase of the program includes meetings, strength and conditioning exercises and injury rehab. Starting on April 29th, the team can add individual and group on-field instruction and walk throughs.

The team will then progress into on-field OTAs, which will be held at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side from May 21-23, May 28-30, and June 3-6. The Steelers have once again scheduled full 10 OTA sessions, though two years ago they only used six of the sessions.

All OTAs are optional, per the NFL and NFLPA’s collective bargaining agreement, though the Steelers have routinely had high levels of attendance over the years, especially among non-veteran players. During OTAs, no live contact is permitted, but the teams can participate in 7 on 7 or 11 on 11 drills.

The Steelers will then hold the final portion of their offseason program, a three-day mandatory minicamp, from June 11-13.

After the team breaks minicamp, the players and coaches will have about five weeks off before reconvening at St. Vincent College near Latrobe for the team’s training camp.

The team will also hold a rookie minicamp in one of the first two weekends following the 2024 NFL Draft. Those dates have not yet been finalized.
