The New York Giants and Washington Commanders made an intriguing match during the 2024 NFL Draft. The Commanders took former LSU QB Jayden Daniels with the second overall pick. At six, the Giants picked former LSU WR Malik Nabers. The former teammates are now fierce NFL rivals.

Of course, they will still be friends during their pro days. That does not mean they can't create some competition between themselves, either, though.

Malik Nabers and Jayden Daniels have a $10,000 bet on who will win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Both have a solid chance at winning the award. Nabers can be the clear-cut WR1 for the Giants, and Daniels is expected to be the starting QB for the Commanders to start the season.

The two combined to be a history-creating and record-setting college duo while they were Tigers. The chemistry was clear.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook , Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams is the favorite to win the award at +170 odds.

Daniels and Nabers follow Williams as two of the next three top options. Daniels' odds sit at +600. Nabers' odds are at +1400.

As for Nabers, you can consider him a bit of a long shot to win the award simply because it is tough for a WR to beat out a QB for any award in the NFL now.

In order to win the bet with his former QB, Nabers will need to beat the odds and play some of the best football from a rookie wideout that the league has ever seen. If he does that, the Giants will be quite happy with their first-round pick.
