Stephen Curry Delivers Beautiful Bam Adebayo Praise After Golden State Warriors-Miami Heat Battle
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Bam Adebayo is inarguably, one of the best defensive players in the league today. And after a Golden State Warriors win over the Miami Heat, even four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry thought so too.

The All-Star guard recently faced Adebayo and the Miami Heat in a game the Golden State Warriors eventually won with a score of 113-92. In that contest, Klay Thompson joined the starting lineup and exploded for 28 points on 42 percent shooting while Jonathan Kuminga made 18 points and seven rebounds. Furthermore, both Curry and Andrew Wiggins had 17 points for the Dubs.

Playing without Tyler Herro or Jimmy Butler, Adebayo carried the Heat throughout the game by posting 24 points, nine rebounds, and five assist. Terry Rozier added 15 points while Haywood Highsmith contributed 15 more from the bench.

Even though the game was marred by Draymond Green’s latest antics, the win helped Golden State hold the 10th seed and stay ahead of the surging Houston Rockets in the Western Conference. Miami’s loss, however, has given them a 39-33 record, which translated to a seventh-seed in the East.

Golden State Warriors Star Stephen Curry Praises Bam Adebayo’s Defense After Getting The Dub Against Miami Heat

After the game, Curry spoke to reporters about Adebayo’s defense and was asked about the Miami Heat star’s stop on him during his rookie campaign. Seen below is the Warriors guard’s response in a video posted by Brady Hawk on X:

Curry goes further by saying Adebayo is versatile, long, can move his feet, and great rim protector. He adds that there’s a reason Miami has gone to the NBA Finals twice since the decade started. At this point in time, the Heat’s big man is averaging 19.7 points on 51 percent shooting from the field, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. He also holds a 1.6 defensive plus/minus rating, making him a valuable player on that end of the court.

That kind of praise given by Curry sure means a lot for Adebayo, a player right in his prime. Hopefully, these two stars can meet in a Finals match-up between their two teams to see how they’ll play against each other in the biggest stage of them all.
